ABOUT RONALD DUDLEY

Iam mydream.png

Ronald Dudley was born and raised in Flint Michigan in the 1960’s. As a child, he suffered from severe dyslexia
and epileptic seizures. In school, he was documented and labeled the “retarded” boy and placed in special education classes. He was not expected to graduate from high school, and many did not expect him to be successful in life. However, while he had disabilities, that didn't stop him from dreaming. School was not easy, and it took him more time than most, but he was able to achieve his dream of graduating high school By staying persistent and humble, he has gone on to achieve other dreams, from gaining an insurance license to owning his own marketing company for several years.

Ronald Dudley has always been an advocate for unity and cohesive communities, where people work together and support each other. For the past twenty years, He has worked and volunteered in the diverse,
multicultural communities of the great state of Michigan to bring people together.

Most recently, he has been riding his bike to raise awareness about the Flint water crisis. On December 1, 2016 in Flint, Michigan, he rode his bike fifty miles, in the middle of winter, to Lansing, Michigan to speak with legislators.

On January 7, 2017, he rode 30 miles from Pontiac, Michigan to Detroit, Michigan, and then on
January 31, 2017, he ode 35 miles from Pontiac, Michigan to Flint. On January 6, 2018, he rode 50 miles from Detroit, Michigan to Ohio in -3 degree weather. These rides were difficult, but he believes
encouraging unity and support for the people of Flint is worth the struggle.
However, His journey does not stop there. He wants to continue his journey from Ohio to Washington D.C., in support of unity. With all the division in the country, He feels that we all need something we can come together around and support. Most people would believe Dudley to be crazy for wanting to accomplish this goal. However, He believes in this cause and is willing to take up the challenge. Given his history of epileptic seizures, he will have a team with him to provide support along his journey. He will not let anything stop him because he lives by his slogan, "I AM MY DREAM!"
